I WAS HIDING …IN DIEGHEM, 1940.

In 1940 the Allies bombed the occupied military Nazi airport located between Dieghem and Zaventem.  I was hiding from the Nazis  in Suzanne And Albert Decraen’s house in Dieghem. The heavy bombing, beginning at 8.00 in the morning, destroyed many planes caught on the earth and killed and wounded many people in the Tenaertslaan, where I lived with Suzanne and Albert and their newborn daugther Denise.By miracle we all survive.
